Camillo’s collection of spring sports equipment is plentiful for the Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich

On Friday afternoon, State Representative (R-151) Fred Camillo arrived at the Boys and Girls Club in Greenwich with a truck full of sports equipment. Picking up where the Greenwich High School YES club left off – YES is short for Youth Equipment Sharing – Camillo has set up collection points at the Cos Cob Library and the YMCA.

The training has also benefited from the efforts of Steve DeRosa, who played in the Greenwich Senior Babe Ruth League from 2006 to 2009 and is currently a coach, having won three consecutive titles from 2012 to 2014. DeRosa currently plays in the Twilight League at Hartford, which is an adult baseball league, and is a former boy of the Boys & Girls Club.

The list of items requested was for new or used gloves, bats, baseballs, basketballs, soccer balls, soccer balls, cleats or other sports equipment. All equipment will be donated to the Greenwich Boys and Girls Club.
