The PRAN-RFL group, one of the country’s leading business conglomerates, provided protective gear to Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) for its members.
Kamruzzaman Kamal, marketing director of the PRAN-RFL group, handed over the protective equipment to the DRU office in the capital on Wednesday.
Morsalin Nomani, President and Moshiur Rahman Khan, Secretary General of DRU received the surgical masks and hand sanitizers from the PRAN-RFL group on behalf of Dhaka Reporters Unity.
Touhiduzzaman, deputy general manager of public relations of the PRAN-RFL group, Arafat Daria, deputy secretary, Mainul Ahsan Sohel, organization secretary, Maidur Rahman Rubel, secretary of publicity and publication, Mohammad Noimuddin, reception secretary and Khalid Saifullah, Welfare Secretary at DRU, were among others who also attended the program.
âThe Dhaka Journalists Unit is the main journalist organization in the country. The DRU members who are the frontline journalists are constantly working in the field risking their lives and providing us with all kinds of information in the midst of the corona situation. We thank them on behalf of the PRAN-RFL group, âsaid Kamruzzaman Kamal.
He also added: âPRAN-RFL has taken many initiatives to stand alongside the poor and the fronliners after the virus outbreak in March of last year. We regularly distribute food to the poor and donate safety equipment to hospitals. As part of the initiative, we are happy to donate protective equipment to the DRU.
