A Latham company, Protective Industrial Products Inc., which sells protective equipment for workers, has doubled its office space.

Protective Industrial Products doubles the size of its offices in Latham.

COLONY – Protective Industrial Products Inc., which distributes items such as safety vests, hard hats and specialty gloves, is moving into its new 60,000 square foot headquarters at Airport Park on British American Boulevard, doubling of his office space.

Founded by Joe Milot and Wellson Tao, the company has grown rapidly since its beginnings in the Capital Region in 1984.

“We have strong roots in the Albany area where we have always been well served by the community and its people,” said CEO Milot.

PIP has 30 sites in 14 countries.

They sell to wholesalers and distributors and include brands such as G-Tek, Grippaz, Button, Ironcat, Assurance, Kut Gard and CleanTeam.

PIP’s retail division offers safety products to major retail customers under the Westchester Protective Gear, Safety Works, Boss, Brahma and Mud brands, and also sells under license from companies such as John Deere and CAT.
