Rhinos Athletics Club delivers sports equipment to Mbale Hub

Mbale Sports Center has become the latest beneficiary to receive their sports kit (equipment) courtesy of Rhinos Athletics Club.

The official handover of this assortment of rugby equipment was made to North Road Primary School in Mbale Town.

Yayiro Kasasa, the Uganda Rugby Union (URU) youth and talent identification manager was joined by Rhino Athletics club officials, Hudson Kirabo (Operations Department) and Allan Ngeye (Acting Chief Operating Officer). ).

“We are grateful to our sponsors for their continued support as we help make the dream of the sport a reality,” Kasasa noted as he passed the baton.

Donations included rugby balls, training cones, shirts and shorts.

Mbale Sports Club is one of seven affiliates of Rhinos Athletics Club.

These hubs have recently received a timely boost of sports equipment from different sports clubs across the UK.

Donors included; Southampton Football Club, Bath and North East Somerset RTC Academy and Salisbury Rugby Football Club.

Other recipients were Motion Youth (Kampala), Adjumani, Iganga, Kumi, Golden Impact (Mukono) and Gulu, all of whom had previously received their packages at Kyadondo Rugby Grounds in Kampala.

The total donations are 158 rugby balls, 224 training cones, 220 jerseys, 220 shorts, 40 football boots and 44 pairs of socks.

“These donations target rural areas of Uganda through Rhino Athletics Sports Club centers around the country, using sport as a tool to engage communities. We will also focus on training community coaches. We would like to thank all the clubs who donated this material and the different people who mobilized to have the material delivered. Kasasa added.
